Witness Intimidation

Witness intimidation is a felony in Massachusetts. Most people believe that you actually have to threaten someone with personal harm in order for you to be charged and/or convicted of witness intimidation. This assumption is incorrect! A person may be charged with the crime of witness intimidation even if they offer gifts to a witness in a criminal matter if those gifts are intended to influence that witnesses’ testimony or their decision to drop criminal charges, etc.

Don’t take charges of witness intimidation lightly – it’s a felony that can have serious consequences. Contact our offices if you have been charged with witnesses intimation or believe you may be charged with the crime of witness intimidation.
